Two of the geekiest things in the world, also two things I love taking photos of: cosplay and toys. Any Comic Con is one of the best places to get both rocks off at the same time, and boy did we do just that at this year's New York Comic Con. Along with fellow Gangsta Eric, I am very happy to present to you the best photographic eye of New York Comic Con 2012! Fuck yo' camera, Charlie Murphy!

The Sights of San Diego Comic Con 2011

Comic Con was over 2 weeks ago you say? Shut your mouth! Editing photos is a long and arduous task, especially while working a full time job, playing and penning 3 reviews, and on occasion, saving the world from certain doom. I know, I know, cry moar! 

At any rate, here are some of the photos from San Diego Comic Con 2011. You'll find some cosplay, some toys, a bit of cleavage, and a huge heaping of awesome. Break out the soda and popcorn and enjoy the show!

By time you read this, PAX East 2011 will long be a thing of the past, sadly. Though the good time had by all will not be completely forgotten, because we got flicks, yo! Killzone 3 Says "Get Used to These Odds"

I was greeted this morning by a package courtesy of PlayStation and Guerilla Games containing a Killzone 3 branded bag full of Army Men. Awesome! I haven't played with Army Men since some time last year, so it is very pleasing that I'll be hitting my yearly Army Men quota early in 2011. 

These aren't just any old little green plastic men though, they come in custom ISA and Helghast flavors. While the ISA trooper looks like your typical soldier, the Helghast all rock their iconic masks, complete adorably evil red specs. Also of interest, the fact that the pack contains 11 total figures; 10 Helghast to 1 ISA soldier. Nope, it's not a mistake. It's just getting us used to the overwhelming odds we'll have to face in Killzone 3. 

If you haven't preordered it already, you can pick up Killzone 3 this coming Tuesday, February 22 in North America, and three days later in Europe. Check back soon for our review.

NYCC10: Cosplay Revue

 

We here at Otaku But Gangsta appreciate the fine art of cosplay. We appreciate the effort most people put into it, but to truly earn our respect, your cosplay has to be done right. You need to bring your A-game cousin, because you're in public, thus you're on film, and therefore, you are on the interwebz. So don't screw this up, you only get one chance to shine!

Miranda Lawson is Genetically Engineered Cosplay Perfection

Miranda Lawson, Mass Effect 2's genetically engineered perfect woman, is hot. Some might say her suit is more fitting to work a pole than to cleanse the universe of genocidal robot-gods, but damn, dat ass.

Do I feel odd admitting this? Maybe a little, but I don't care. Besides, Miranda is modeled after a real woman, a real good looking woman at that. So seeing this Miranda cosplay made my heart skip a beat. Not only because Miranda's real-life avatar, Jessika F., is a looker but because of the detail Dark Stars put into the shoot and post processing. Omnitools, geth, mechs, skintight suit, Cerberus agents, it's all there.

Zombie Mario is One Ugly Mama Mia

Continuing the recent trend of throwing zombies in scenarios they don't belong, Flickr user mrksaari has successfully mashed up George Romero and Shigeru Miyamoto to create these Super Mario Brothers zombies. The whole gang is here; Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach. Unfortunately no zombie Bowser. That would possibly be too awesome to capture on photo.
